Paddy Power's Lucky 15 rules

A Lucky 15 at Paddy Power is 15 small bets on four picks: four singles, six doubles, four trebles and one fourfold, so you're covered whether one, some or all of them come in. Because the singles are included, even one winner gets you some money back.

Rules from Paddy Power's help centre (general sports betting rules, non-runners, bet settlement, regulatory information), read on 22 October 2026.

Cost of a Lucky 15

Since a Lucky 15 covers 15 bets, your total outlay is 15 times whatever stake you choose per bet. Going each way splits every bet into a win half and a place half, doubling the count to 30 bets and doubling what you pay.

Stake per lineWin onlyEach way
10p£1.50£3
50p£7.50£15
£1£15£30

At £2 a bet, a win only Lucky 15 costs £30.

A Yankee covers the same four picks but drops the singles, so £1 a bet comes to £11 for 11 bets. The extra £4 on a Lucky 15 goes on the four single bets.

What can a £1 Lucky 15 return?

The numbers here assume a £1 win Lucky 15, £15 in total, where all 4 selections carry the same odds. Every figure shown is the full amount returned to you, stakes included.

Odds for each pickOne winnerTwo winnersThree winnersFour winners
5/1£6£48£342£2,400
3/1£4£24£124£624
2/1£3£15£63£255
1/1 (evens)£2£8£26£80

It's worth knowing that if only one or two picks win at short odds, you'll usually get back less than the £15 you put in. At evens, two winners return just £8.

A worked example with mixed prices

Imagine putting £1 on each of four picks at odds of 5/1, 4/1, 3/1 and 2/1. When just the 2/1 and 3/1 win, the 2/1 single pays £3.00, the 3/1 single pays £4.00 and the double between them pays £12.00. That gives you £19.00 from a £15 outlay, which is £4.00 profit.

If all four win, you collect £360.00 from the fourfold, £342.00 from the trebles, £119.00 from the doubles and £18.00 from the singles. Altogether that's £839.00 returned on £15 staked.

What happens to a Lucky 15 with a non-runner?

Your bet still stands. Under Paddy Power's rules, you get the stake back on that horse's single, and every bet that included it is settled on the other picks. So the fourfold drops to a treble, an affected treble drops to a double, and it continues down the line.

Your slip still comes to £15 at £1 per bet. To give one example, if the other three picks at 4/1, 3/1 and 2/1 all come in, your return is £239.00. Included in that is the £1 stake returned on the single that didn't run.

Placing an each way Lucky 15 with Paddy Power

With an each way bet, the place half pays a fraction of the odds when your selection finishes placed. If the place part pays a quarter of the odds, a 4/1 horse that finishes placed pays evens, so a £1 place bet gives you £2.00 back. If it pays a fifth of the odds, a 5/1 horse pays evens too.

For each way multiples, Paddy Power bases the place terms on the horses that come under starter's orders. Every selection keeps the place terms from its own race. For example, in a handicap with 8 to 11 runners, a horse that finishes in the first three pays a fifth of the odds, and the calculator lets you set each race's terms one by one.

Now a £1 each way example, £30 in total, with each way terms of a quarter the odds. The 2/1 pick wins, the 3/1 finishes placed, while the 4/1 and 5/1 both lose. You get £3.00 from the win half and £5.88 from the place half, £8.88 in all. When all 4 win, the win half pays £839.00 and the place half £66.03, totalling £905.03.

Limit on Lucky 15 bonuses

Under Paddy Power's general rules, the daily cap on bonus money for Lucky 15, Lucky 31 and Lucky 63 wagers is £1,000. So if you place several Lucky 15s in one day and they all pick up bonuses, the most you'll get from those bonuses that day is £1,000.
